How not to lose faith

How not to lose faith

Do you ever feel like your faith is slowly dying? Perhaps you are in exactly the same way as the seeds Jesus described in the parable of the sower.

When you feel like a seed on the road

You know that feeling when something really deep hits you — like the message that God loves you and wants to change your life — but before hope can take hold, something completely destroys it? It can be pain, trauma or inner turmoil. Jesus calls it the devil (Greekdiabolical, or the one that is supposed to scatter us) -- anything that deprives you of hope that it can be better.

Question for thought:What is it that most intrinsically discomforts you and hinders you on the path to God?

When your faith doesn't have deep roots

You may be familiar with a situation where you start something with tremendous enthusiasm — a new project, a relationship, or a journey of faith. But when the first problem comes, everything collapses because you weren't ready for the crisis. Beliefs without deep roots are easy to break when a difficult moment comes.

What about that?Don't make God a mere ornament. Give him space even in moments of crisis. Faith is not just a couch rest, but a journey that will sustain you even in the midst of a storm.

When the worries of everyday life suffocate you

Everyday worries, work, pursuit of money, serials... all this can easily overshadow God. You may be saying to yourself, “I'll make time for God tomorrow when there's less work.” But the reality is that such a moment will never come. And in the meantime, your faith wanes.

Try to reflect:What makes room for God in your daily life? What could you change so that God has more space in your life?

How to prepare fertile soil

When faith takes root, it bears fruit that transcends all notions. Fertile soil brings a miraculous harvest. But how to prepare it?

  • Give God priority -- not just when there's time left.
  • Acknowledge what's driving you away from him, and face it.
  • Hook up on Jesus. He is the one who turns your dreams into something much bigger.

Faith is not about perfection, but about the willingness to learn, to fall and to rise again. What will you do today to make your spiritual soil more fertile?
